AHRQ: Sustaining research that reaches millions of patients

Federal primary-care research runs on platforms that simply have to stay up. A national research network, spanning more than 130 research networks, 67,000 clinicians, and 52.7 million patients, depended on the websites, portals, and applications that make that research possible.

We provided full-lifecycle DevOps, cloud operations, and health IT support across this portfolio. We managed the infrastructure, security, and continuous delivery behind platforms supporting EHR adoption, care coordination, and national health data standards, alongside a national data standards repository used across federal agencies.

Across multiple years of operations, the platforms ran with zero reported downtime, sustained national-scale traffic of hundreds of thousands of sessions, and maintained their security authorizations, so the research they support could continue without interruption.

The result is reliable, secure platform support at national scale, keeping federally funded research accessible to the clinicians and communities who depend on it.
